WAVES

“What is grief, except love persevering?”

Waves is a love letter to girlhood in 2000s South London- set against the backdrop of corner‑shop pick ’n’ mix, sharing iPod Shuffle headphones on the P4 to Brixton and blasting Rizzle Kicks. We follow the story of three sisters navigating the loss of their mum, being looked after by their older cousin and young carer, Cleo. Written in poetry and blending movement and comedy, Waves is dedicated to those who have grieved, and for sisters everywhere.

Waves was developed by the National Youth Theatre’s New Views Programme. It was first performed at The Space Theatre as a part of SoulSpire Arts’ roots and connections festival. HOW TO CREATE A LIFE

Camden People’s Theatre Starting Blocks 2026

By Francesca D’Souza

After learning there may be ‘no womb at the inn’, Francesca navigates the sober world of fertility treatment as a single, 30-something who wonders where she’d even put a baby if she had one, or if anyone would go out with her now. Knowing she’s not mysterious enough to shut up about it, she starts to talk to people, and to her surprise, people start to talk back.

GRAPEFRUIT

Grapefruit is a exploration of the real-life impacts of wombman’s health struggles, modern dating, friendship and the lack of education around the reproductive system.

Written by Amelia Fenner and Directed by Tilly Thorp.

Ree (Farah Ashraf) “certified man hater” and tea obsessed Julia (Bex Rees-Davies), lend their facebook marketplace sofa to best friend Maggie (Eve Martin).

Maggie, whilst navigating the world of modern dating with new beau Jamie (William Eden), is suddenly plummeted into an unexpected reality.

After relying on medical intervention she believed would only make her life go back to normal she finds herself slowing loosing touch with her girls, becoming interdependent on her lover and brutally awakened to a world of daily pain and struggle she never anticipated.

But whose fault is it? Really.
